marta fegiz ritrattoFollowing a classical education, she obtained a bachelor in Arts and Humanities at the “Sapienza” University of Rome in 1987 and then continued her studies in the area of Landscape and Garden design, graduating at the Quasar Institute in Rome. Thanks to her dual education and having also managed an art gallery in Rome, she is able to link Art and Landscape in her projects. Her projects range over the field of public and private green spaces, restoration of historical gardens, environmental integration of industrial plants. Most of her garden projects, roof garden and private parks, have been realizated. She is the Landscape Consultant of Italiana Costruzioni S.p.A. (the company that has built the MAXXI museum in Rome). Among her various assignments, they have just been inaugurated a big sculpture garden in Todi (Italy) with the artist Mimmo Paladino, the courtyard of Stamperie 152 ex Il Messaggero typography in Rome and a public square in the center of Piacenza.
Among private spaces open to the public she realized the roof garden (bar/restaurant) of Hotel S. Francesco in Rome, the landscaping of the Ericsson Headquarters in Rome, Anagnina (with arch. G. Napolitano) and many other outdoor common areas of private housing estates. She collaborated with Ecoplanning company in Rome for the environmental integration of some industrial buildings complying with the 95/94 deliberation about L zones in the” Master Plan” of Rome.  In the historical restoration sector she firmed, with A. Benedetti, the renovation design of Villa Pianciani historical park (designed by Valadier, late eighteenth century) in Spoleto and, with A. Sartogo Daroda the Parck of Villa Alfano in Rome, designed by R. De Vico (the author of all green spaces of EUR and most of the Prati districts in Rome). In the field of public parks she designed with Studio Amati the Botanical Park of the Sassari’s University and, about recovery of dismissed industrial areas she has planned, with arch. Carlo Fegiz, the three public parks, North, East and South (118.000 square meters) of the Vulcano area in Sesto San Giovanni, Milan (ex Falk industries). She participated in various national and international competitions, winning first prize in 1996 with the Quasar Institute at The “Festival international des Jardins” at Chaumont sur Loire and first prize ex aequo at “Sabaudia, Oberdan Square and Plotzner Park” with C. Fegiz and A. Sartogo Daroda. Other competition designs have been mentioned. Her projects have been published on the most important specialized magazines.
